Marketing Manager Position

Job Title:  Marketing Manager

Department:  Marketing

Reports to:  CEO


Position Summary:  The successful candidate provides oversight and maintains alignment with the overall marketing strategy.  They are responsible for developing, managing and delivery of the overall marketing plan and assuring all marketing touch align with brand guidelines.  They train, coach and develop individual contributors on the marketing team.  This candidate leads planning sessions to set goals, budgets, and tactics.  They have a deep understanding of all aspects of digital marketing.

2) Trains and coaches marketing team members to meet or exceed their goals.

3) Meets or exceeds marketing KPI’s.

4) Monitors all customer touchpoints to ensure alignment with brand guidelines



1) Accountable for leading the growth and development of marketing team

  • Accountable for onboarding new marketing personnel, including developing and implementing onboarding process
  • Accountable for training and development of marketing personnel
  • Accountable for scheduling and leading weekly marketing meeting
  • Accountable for creating, maintaining and delegating marketing strategy and monitoring progress
  • Accountable for hiring and firing of marketing personnel, including creating new job descriptions and contributing to the organizational strategy of the marketing team
  • Accountable for performance reviews
  • Accountable for providing oversight for strategy, managing and reporting


2) Accountable for modeling company culture

  • Responsible for managing personal growth and development to embody company values
  • Exhibits awareness of how actions, words and behaviour impact team

3) Accountable for ensuring all marketing touchpoints align with brand guidelines

  • This position is our brand police across social, email, paid ads, customer service - - every touchpoint between NUMI & the world


4) Accountable for providing oversight for strategy, managing and reporting

  • Responsible for developing, managing and delivery on overall marketing plan
  • Accountable for reaching e-commerce revenue goals through training and coaching marketing team
  • Responsible for focusing team on driving e-commerce revenue month-over-month
  • Responsible for supporting team in analyzing weekly KPI’s to optimize growth and profitability
  • Responsible for aligning team in testing and implementing new strategies to optimize growth and profitability
  • Weekly reporting submitted to manager by Monday at 11AM


5) Accountable for managing and staying within the marketing budget

  • Responsible for planning annual, quarterly and monthly marketing budget
  • Weekly reporting submitted to manager by Monday at 11AM


6) Accountable for managing, monitoring and reporting on paid advertising spend and performance

  • Responsible for managing and providing accurate and timely new ad copy and creatives as requested by ad manager
  • Responsible for analyzing paid ad performance
  • Responsible for managing communications, expectations and feedback with ad manager
  • Responsible for strategizing and executing on all non-Facebook paid advertising spend
  • Weekly reporting submitted to manager by Monday at 11AM


7) Accountable for maintaining a deep understanding of marketing trends affecting ecommerce

  • Responsible for making recommendations regarding digital marketing strategy based on industry trends and changes
