#WCW: Natalie Massenet

Natalie Massenet, CEO and founder of Net-A-Porter and chairman of British Fashion Council is this weeks #wcw! At 33, Massenet developed the idea of the luxury fashion e-tail site, soon to be the Net-a-Porter empire. She raised £1.2 million in start-up investments and started Net-A-Porter from her Chelsea flat with a team of only fifteen. She started the brand when she was pregnant with her daughter and used her bedroom as a stock room and bathroom as a packaging room. In 2004 she won the UK Fashion Export Award for Best E-tailer and the Best Shop award at the British Fashion Awards. She recently launched the shop-able Porter magazine, a print publication that employs a magazine-like feel of Net-A-Porter. An estimated 400,000 copies will be circulated in 60 countries!
